Iranian short ‘Snowy Heart’ vying at Okotoks Film Festival

Iranian short film ‘Snowy Heart’ is vying at the 2020 Okotoks Film Festival in Canada.

Iranian short film ‘Snowy Heart’ has been competing at the 5th edition of the Okotoks Film Festival (OFF) in Canada.

Directed and written by Alireza Biglari, the short film is Iran’s only representative at the Canadian festival.

The synopsis to the short title reads, “Only love can save the world”.

Produced by Neda Biglari, the only actress in the short film is Dina Norouzi.

‘Snowy Heart’ has previously participated in over 20 international film festivals, including the 2020 Alter do Chao Film Festival in Brazil, the 18th Environmental Short Film Festival in Turkey, and the 2020 Māoriland Film Festival in New Zealand.

Established in March 2016, the OFF aims to make Okotoks an attractive place for film creation.

According to the official website of the festival, “it is an annual international film festival offering programming for all ages including a variety of film screenings, workshops, and galas.

This international professional festival is a joy for audiences and filmmakers alike. During the festival we also include networking opportunities for filmmakers and a 48-hour filmmaking competition, an audience favorite”.

The event is undergoing online on December 23.
